Fence diagrams with gINT Professional fence diagram software
The reporting capabilities in gINT Professional fence diagram software can present data for multiple boring logs on a single fence diagram. Following are a few simple fence diagrams that just show the material graphic columns.
Any information that can be shown on a borehole log report can be shown on a fence. Following are fences that show information in addition to the material graphics column.
As with gINT software for boring log reports, fence diagrams can be made "smart." Following is a fence diagram that shows well installations and water levels.
Note that B-5 has no well in the diagram. The report automatically adjusted the horizontal positions of the other entities. Also note that the Lithology Graphics section only shows the material graphics that are shown on this page. This gINT software "smart" facility can be used to set up fences that output dozens of columns of data, and the user can be prompted at output time to pick the columns that are to be printed.
Creating geotechnical cross sections from gINT fence diagrams
You can create geotechnical cross sections by interpreting between the borehole sticks. This can be done with the powerful editing tools in gINT Professional fence diagrams software, or you may use standard CADD applications, whichever you prefer.
gINT software allows export of fence diagrams (and all other report types) either to an AutoCAD® DXF for editing in any application that reads a DXF, or to a gINT Drawing file format (GDW) for further editing within gINT. Following is a sample of a fence that has been edited using gINT.
