gINT GEOTECHNICAL BOREHOLE LOGS NOW AVAILABLE VIA ON DEMAND, METERED USAGE

New gINT On Demand Solution Minimizes Costs while Maximizing Flexibility

Windsor, CA—September 16, 2008—gINT Software, Inc., is pleased to announce that it is now offering an on-demand, metered usage version of their popular gINT Professional software for borehole logs, fence diagrams, lab testing and other geotechnical and geoenvironmental reporting. The on-demand solution is available through Cetrus, LLC, an organization that specializes in hosting on-demand versions of software applications for engineers, designers and scientists.

gINT Software has long enabled engineers to be more effective by placing a comprehensive set of tools for geotechnical data management and reporting at their fingertips. gINT Professional enables users to easily create fully customizable database structures and an unlimited number of user-defined reports using powerful output and import/export capabilities, robust data interrogation tools, and sophisticated drawing tools that can be used within reports, symbols and general applications.

With the introduction of their on-demand version, gINT now provides an extremely flexible licensing option that allows users to design their purchasing and usage decisions to improve their profitability. Data control is maintained because all data and the gINT program are stored locally on the user's computer, with only the on-demand license file stored externally on the Cetrus server.

As a web-delivered metered usage service, the new gINT On Demand service enables companies to replace large, up-front fees and costs with periodic payments at a fraction of the price, thus enabling expenditures to be shifted from fixed costs to variable costs and thereby increasing the flexibility of cost structures.

"Companies that use gINT On Demand can increase their profitability and reduce their operational costs," states Salvatore Caronna, founder and president of gINT Software. "Every engineer has access to the latest version of gINT at their desktop when they need it, as they need it, wherever they are. Furthermore, technical support is included, so clients never have to worry about buying or renewing maintenance agreements."

Cetrus's unique on-demand licensing technology provides users with the ability to run software on a metered usage basis. Users are charged only for the time they actually use the software. The Cetrus license module, which has been incorporated into gINT for the new on-demand offering, tracks the user's hourly usage in real-time and updates the usage database. With the Cetrus Expense-to-Project (E2P™) feature, users can access, download and print usage reports to obtain detailed usage and project billing information for submittal as a reimbursable to their project or customer. Global access to the service is available via the Internet and software runs on an individual's computer.

"The Internet has and is changing the way people work," states Shawn Munger, CIO for Cetrus, Inc. "It's a natural evolution for companies to migrate from purchasing standalone software to simply buying access to an application that is metered via the Internet on a need-to-use basis. It's more cost effective for the company and more convenient for the user. The more programs available in the on-demand business model, the more market acceptance. Naturally, we're delighted to add gINT Software's market-leading solution to the engineering software available through Cetrus."

Using an on-demand application is almost indistinguishable from using a licensed version of the software. The user logs into the application from their desktop and inputs their Cetrus login identifier -- it's that simple. "It's as easy to access gINT On Demand as it is to access your email account," Caronna notes.

"Switching to gINT On Demand or starting a new account is extremely easy," he adds. "The on-demand model is very simple to use and more efficient to manage than a licensed model that has locked soft and hard-keys, making application-sharing difficult. That's just not an issue with the on-demand version."

"Cetrus has streamlined and optimized the process of using on-demand applications to ensure that the user experience is literally indistinguishable from a licensed version of the software," explains Caronna. "Offering our borehole log software as a pay-per-use application through the Cetrus model makes the solution much for feasible for engineers who only need to use it for occasional projects. And, it's so efficient and convenient. It's really the wave of the future in software delivery."
